What is Medcom/Trainex?
Medcom/Trainex is our healthcare content provider. For over 50 years, Medcom-Trainex has been a leading producer and distributor of healthcare education in a wide range of formats - from print materials and award-winning video programs to internet-based learning developed with working healthcare professionals.
How does payment work?
The transaction is completed through Paypal. You do not need to have a Paypal account to be able to submit your credit card information.
How long do I have to wait until receiving my login/certification information?
Typically, the account approval process will take about 2-3 business days. Please contact us if you do not hear from us after 3 days of completing your purchase.
How long will I have access to Metrix?
An annual license grants you access to e-learning for 1 year. This access starts from the time you receive your subscription confirmation. At the end of your license period, your account data is preserved, but you will not be able to launch courses.
How many times can I take a course?
You can take any course as many times as you wish. However, if you already completed a course, re-taking it will reset your score.
Do I have to complete an activity in one sitting?
No, you will be able to bookmark your place in a course and return to it at another time. However, for certification practice tests, you will have to complete the entire test in one sitting.
I have previously used Metrix and I want to keep the work I've done. Can I continue using the same username?
Yes, when registering for Metrix Learning make sure you verify that you have used Metrix Learning before. This way we can match your information with your existing Metrix profile.
How many CEUs can I earn per course?
Courses with CEU credit range from .5- 1 credit hour.
Is there a limit to the number of CEUs I can earn?
No. You can earn as many CEUs as you can complete while your Medcom license is still active.
How do I obtain CEUs though Metrix?
After passing your Medcom course test with an 80% or higher, click on the red link which reads "Last Step to Complete This Course: CLICK HERE". You will be directed to a short survey to evaluate the course, and then presented with your CEU certificate, which you may print or save to your computer. Medcom/Trainex will retain records of any completed CEUs for 7 years.
